“Beware the ides of March” was the Soothsayers warning to Julius Caesar. Sure enough on March 15th Mr. Caesar was assassinated. LINK

Coolers: Give Praise To The Yeti
by joey on Mar.14, 2008, under Fly Fishing
Coolers are in everyones arsenal when it comes to camping, going to the beach or just hanging on the deck. I purchased a YETI COOLER last year for my raft and couldn’t be happier. Give them a look, especially for you river runners who do long trips the yeti is the way to roll.

Yammaramma: Black Midge Emerger
by joey on Mar.11, 2008, under Fly Fishing
So I headed up to the Yampa River, this time I brought my bike instead of walking. Great move on the way in. The way out it was a muddy mess and it took me 2x as long. Better than walking….anyway. I was the second one there and of course the first fisherman got shell shocked by all the fish in the first pool and couldn’t move. Fine with me. I had a score to setlle down on the lower section. I finally figured out what they were eating and had the best day EVER on the Yampa. Enjoy.

I was real suprised when I saw this fella come out of the water. I was casting to a huge rainbow and this guy came out of the depths and crushed my black midge emerger. Really happy with this one.

I am happy with this one too. I had a score to settle and now were even.

I love watching them swim away. Great day on the river, I only wish I had someone there to witness some of these spectacular fish.
Long Time Gone: David Crosby

I finshed Long Time Gone a few months ago and thought that I would share a video of David Crosby. The book is a biography about his life and it is truly amazing what this wild man has done over the years.
