Florida: Quick Vacation
by joey on Apr.30, 2008, under Fly Fishing
Amy and I just got back from visiting our families down in the Sunshine State. I think we all gained 5 lbs or so from rum drinks but we had a good time. We didn’t get much fishing in but we partied at the bar attached to the tackle shop. Does that count? here are ae few shots.

A nice warning sign at Capt. Hirams Tiki Bar

Amos and I after a few Painkillers

Isn’t that the truth

My Dad proving that the above is in fact true.

We did not catch any of these.
Special Thanks to the parents for taking care of us while we were there, dinner, drinks, boat rides and more. We’ll see you again soon.
Chocolate Lab: No Sleep
by joey on Apr.23, 2008, under Fly Fishing
Amy and I have a new roomate. He chews on everything, eats all the food and occasionally pees on the floor. His name is Cam and he is an 8 week old Chocolate Lab. We have had him for 4 days and I am starting to resemble a zombie.

Orvis Conclave: Almont Colorado
by joey on Apr.22, 2008, under Fly Fishing
Mike Salamone and I Just got back from the Orvis Conclave in Almont. We had a great time and got some sweet free shwag. We snuck out for some fishing on the Taylor the day after and cast to some of the biggest Rainbow Trout I have ever seen in that river, some exceeding 15 pounds. I did battle with one for about 5 minutes before it took off down river and would not stop.

Thats how it all started

This is what I remember of the fusball game.

Joe and Judes just got back from a much needed vaca on Abaco Island. They both were able to crush a bunch of bonefish and even more rum.

Joe with the bone-

Judes with the rum-
Glad you two had a nice time see you in a few days in the dirty south. Hope the fishing and the rum is as good.
Colorado River: Got The Boat Wet
by joey on Apr.14, 2008, under Fly Fishing
Proabably the warmest day in 2008 yesterday so I busted the boat out and headed north to the Upper Colorado for some fishing, floating and chillin. Bob, Jason and their significant others met Amy and I at Pumphouse and we followed eachother down the Mighty Colorado River. We didn’t fish too hard but we managed a few Browns and one hansome Whitey.

Jason and Bob have a good laugh while fishing near cooton wood. Nice net work J.

Jason Manuevers Bob and his wife Amy through the canyon. It was Jasons first full day on the oars and now he is looking for a new boat. Awesome day on the river, it felt good to finally get the boat wet and see the upper part of the Colorado.
