Maine Atlantic Salmon: Penobscot River

by joey on May.23, 2008, under Fly Fishing

The boys made it happen on the Penobscot yesterday landing an estimated 15lb Atlantic Salmon. The Bulldog did battle with a fish of equal size but lost it at his feet in the fast water but, Raw Dog came out a winner. Congrats to both of you for getting it done. Hope this Saturday works out as well. Rock and Roll.

The Atlantic Salmon Season is underway on the Penobscot River in Maine. The state has been doing alot to try and bring these fish back and are having some response. Fish have been showing up in decent numbers for the past couple years and the state have opened it to fisherman for short periods of time. My friend Luke a.k.a Raw Dog and my Father are heading up tomorrow to try their luck. For more information about the what the state is trying to accomplish go to the Maine Altantic Salmon Commission check it.
