Saw this beast over on Sweaty Waders and had to bring it over. Almost 40 pounds!!!!!

Wow, that pic is getting circulated like crazy..
FYI it was just over 45 inches long with a 25 inch girth..
caught in the cottonwood run… It took a swung black tube fly on my spey rod… hope everyone is enjoying the pic as much as I do.

Geez, I’m tired of looking at big steelhead from the Copper, Kispiox, Skeena or wherever from my home rivers that are being held high and dry for minutes so some angler can get his grin and brag photos. Keep them in the water or out for a few seconds only.
