Colorado River: Piney River Confluence

by joey on Mar.20, 2008, under Fly Fishing

Fished the confluence of Piney River and The Colorado yesterday in hopes of the oppotunistic Brown Trout Eating Eggs. Not much action. Only a few Whiteys and a run in with a deer sharing the run with me. The Colorado is emerald green right now so I had to take advantage of it before it turns brown. Still nice to be on the river.

One of these things is not like the other.

I dont really throw a worm that much. It is kinda a last resort for me. Its nice to have a few just in case though. When I have fished them I usually trial it off my lead fly. I probably should have tried it this day. Maybe I would have caught a trout….
