Colorado Trout Trip: Bulldog In Da House
by joey on Aug.05, 2008, under Fly Fishing
My fam arrived a few days ago for a quick summer break from the daily grind. The girls have been sight seeing, hiking and shopping while the boys have been hitting the river. We were able to float the Eagle one last time before it got to low and got a couple nice Bows to the net.

We Stopped a good public hole and nymphed for a few but the Miller got in the way.

Yesterday we headed North to the Yampa and had some luck on a homemade midge I like to call the Red Assed Baboon. Big Joe got the better part of a few nice fish and a monster at the buzzer on a sunken Patriot.

No Dad I am not chewing on your tippet……..or your net….or your pfds.

Oh yeah this thing is a giant. Can you say “bulldog in da houuuuse.”

Looks like the bulldog is laying waste as usual. No dout some very nice rainbows. Hats off. I especially like the bluebacked silver trout in the third picture. Wish I was there.

Hey Joey –
I know you enjoyed your fam as much as they enjoyed you! Looks like you and Big J had fun with the fish – Cam looks so innocent
