Eagle River: It’s On Fire

Cruised down to the Eagle a couple days ago and it was silly. Small Black Stones and Giant Black Midges started soming off around 1:30 and the trusty old “Roy Boy” came out to do some damage. I was not on my game and my ratio to fish hooked to fish landed was poor. Did manage a few to the net but was very dissapointed with my performance. Gotta head back and work on my average.

    Joey,
    We all have those days. I think that your problem is that you can’t cast or mend properly. If I was around longer, we would have worked on those things. Other than that, you are a hell of a fisherman, and a cool friend to fish with.

    I know Zimm…..I am trying to get that casting thing down. I wish you were sticking around to show me how to mend and tie on my flies. See you on the Arkansas soon. Floating the Upper “C” today.
