A story came to fliesandfins.com a couple days ago that truly left me and many others speechless. I cannot put into words how amazing that this story is. Please click on the link and read how fly fishing has been a crutch to help this soldier through some unfortunate events. LINK

I new folks in his unit that served with him, he`s a Platoon Sergeant, passionate about fly fishing, had lost alot of blood and was blacking in and out of it from the pain and shock that his body recieved, can’t imagine what he went through, but heard that he is still dwelling on nightmares, lack of sleep and just missing his Soldiers in Iraq who he wants to go back and be with, That my friend is a heroe, knowing what you went through and still want to go back to be with your Soldeirs is a testament of how proud I am to have people like him watching out for us all, a true American.
