Sir Maxwell Of Cobbosseecontee: Mr Brown, Puppy Chow..My Brother
by joey on Aug.20, 2010, under Fly Fishing
It is with bloodshot eyes that I inform my followers that we lost a remarkable dog today. Max, our family dog moved on to tastier rawhides, cooler water and bigger flocks of ducks this morning. He was a best friend to all who knew him. Sure there were those times when we had to chase him across rt 202 and dig him out of the dumpster or when he would chase a young bitch in heat (who could blame him) all the way around the lake. He will be sorely missed and he will forever hold a special place in all of us.
On a personal note ” I miss you bud, I hope you and Duke are a back to chasing half eaten tennis balls around the lake and diving deep to pick rocks off the lake bottom. I will miss having you chase me around the house and greeting me at the door with a deep loud bark whenever I’d return home. I wish I could have been there to say my final farewell, thank you for your companionship, your understanding and your love. Cheers Mr. Brown.”

It’s amazing how loved Max was by all and how he stole a piece of everyone’e heart. Even when he was gone for 6 hours and came home shivering and covered in snowballs in -10 degree weather, he always came home to be with his family. Truly the most loyal friend anyone could ask for. Love you Puppy Chow. I’ll miss you.
