Spey Casting: Back To Chasing Summer Run Steelhead
As we watch it snow here in Colorado it is safe to say that the Summer has come to an end and Fall is settling in. The Aspen trees are turning to gold and the Apples and Pumkins are being harvested. Streamer season is in full swing as the hungry Brown Trout are ravenous and getting ready for the spawn.

This is my favorite time of year and even though the trout fishing is great I lose interest and start to think Steelhead. My thoughts slowly become totally absorbed with these fish and how will do everything in my power to chase them as long as I can. My new wife is usually pretty good about letting me slip away and get my fix (maybe thats why I married her….haha) although sometimes it takes some schmooozing. This year is no different than any other I have got a special trip lined up with Jeff Brazda and my father to chase Summer Run Steelhead in WA. This is my fathers first time fishing for Steelhead on the west coast and he is stoaked, as am I. Thanks to my friend Dave Severson and the boys at Beulah I just got a SWEET new spey rod and am excited to use it. So until Oct 11th I will be filling my boxes and getting ready to do battle.

Brown amos and I got on the Colorado last weekend. Thanks for rowing Dear (I told ya she is killer)

Still have some empty space in this box any suggestions on what to fill it with? I need more black.
